General Information on Accounts Production and Advice:
There are two main reasons why businesses use an accountant. One is to produce year end accounts, so that you can see whether you have made a profit or loss, and the other is to sent your tax returns to HMRC and to advise you the best way to reduce your tax bill. There are other good reasons to use an accountant and we would welcome the opportunity of discussing these other reasons with you.
How do you choose and accountant and how do you decide which of their services you need? There are many factors to be taken into account - should an accountant be qualified? Not necessarily, because there are several good accountants who have great experience but have never qualified, but there is a certain peace of mind in using a qualified accountant, because you will know that they have passed competency exams and are regulated by their governing body.
In our particular case, we are Certified Public Accountants and Members of the International Association of Bookkeepers with over 30 years experience. This ensures that your accounts are produced by professionals and that you will receive the right advice.
You need to find an accountant that you are comfortable with and one that you trust. We believe in honesty and good communications on a regular basis with clients, and would be very please to have the chance to speak to you to explain how we can help and how we may be different from many other accountants.
Our services are competitively priced and we offer excellent value for money. Many of the larger firms charge a fortune for their work, and perhaps this is because they have huge overheads, but we cannot see why you should be paying for their expenses. In most cases we can reduce the cost of your accountancy bill without having to compromise on the service that you receive. We can offer a fixed price service and spread the payments over the year, enabling you to budget properly and so that you do not have any nasty surprises with your accountancy bill at the end of the year.
If you are considering going into business for the first time, there are many factors to take into account and questions that need asking.
Should you start on your own? Should you have a business Partner? Should you form a Company? Do you need to register for VAT? Will you be employing staff?
These are just a few of the questions that will need answering. Gaining the right information and taking the right steps in the first stages of business can save you from making costly mistakes and help to give you the best possible chance of surviving the initial years in business. It is crucial to start your business properly and that you seek the correct legal and accountancy advice at the outset. We are here to start you off on the correct footing.
Are you happy with your current accountant and are you receiving the level of service that you expect and deserve? Does your accountant keep in contact and give you up-to-date information on your finances and accounts? Are your fees too high for the level of service given?
We believe in the real world and understand business. We also believe in communication, so that you always have the essential financial information you need to make informed decisions. Our fees are good value for money and we are happy to provide a fixed quotation and monthly payments to avoid any nasty shocks at the end of each year.
If you have any doubt about your current accountant's service, we would be delighted to speak to you and to let you know how you may benefit and receive a better service from Dennington Bishop.
